Indications

IFT (Arthritis, tendinitis, tendonitis, ligament injuries, back pain, neck pain, sciatica,…) 10-15mins
UST (tendinitis, bursitis, arthritis, ligament injuries, plantar fasciitis, dequervain’s tenosynovitis,…) 8-10 mins
LASER (Tendinitis, calcaneal spur, plantar fasciitis, dequervain’s tenosynovitis, tennis elbow 2 mins
TENS (Sciatica, back/neck pain radiating to legs/hands) 10-15 mins
Muscle Stimulator (Bell’s Palsy, other nerve palsy, muscle wasting/weakness) 20-30 mins

Contraindications

  • Cardiac diseases/pacemaker
  • Disturbed skin sensation
  • Irradiation
  • Fever
  • Open wounds
  • Region of metal implant in the body
  • Infection
  • Tumour
  • Vascular conditions

Note : -Above mentioned modalities are mostly used as an adjunct to other physiotherapy treatment methods like exercise therapy and manual therapy to hasten the recovery process.
